Historical thermalism
The Abano Thermæ are the oldest in Europe, known as far back as Roman times for their unique properties for the respiratory tract, joints and skin. The AbanoRitz has its own spring where the water, rich in mineral salts, iodine and bromine, gushes out at a temperature of around 87°C, filling the tanks and enriching the clay present in them and coming from the lakes in our hills. The thermal baths of Abano and Montegrotto are patented, recognized by the Italian Health System and accessible both by agreement and privately.
Euganean Hills wine and gastronomy
AbanoRitz, at the foot of the Euganean Hills, is partner with the Euganean Hills Wine Route, and the harvest period is certainly very important and evocative for wine culture, involving both wineries and wine lovers. Between September and October, when the grapes reach optimal ripeness and are harvested to be turned into wine, our hills magically smell of grapes and must, taking us back to our childhood. Some cellars offer the opportunity to actively participate in the grape harvest or simply to watch the various stages of vinification. All year round, however, it is possible to visit the historic cellars and taste the typical wines of the Euganean Hills, such as Fior d’Arancio, Moscato, Serprino and Merlot.
