The Apulia Region has launched a project to support the operators of the show: Puglia Sounds Tour Italia 2020/2021 is aimed at increasing a qualified and diversified cultural offer, boosting the demand for shows of regional importance, having live music as the main language, with the aim of promoting and enhancing the role of Puglia in the tourist and cultural landscape, national and international, enriching the calendar of artistic and cultural events. The projects promoted by the “W. A. Mozart” Association of Tricase (LE) in collaboration with CLAMAT – Club Amici della Musica of Abano Terme (PD) also fall within the scope of the Puglia Sounds Tour Italia initiatives: The piano between baroque and classicism: a look at Puglia and the romantic piano between Puglia and Europe.
On Wednesday, August 18th at the Hotel AbanoRitz we host pianist Fabio Mancini from Brescia, an accredited member of the World Piano Teachers Association Italia. The theme will be romantic music with particular attention to the Apulian author G. Lillo da Galatina.
Then, on November 10th, at the AbanoRitz we will host Davide Munaron, a young pianist from Padua, always an accredited member of the World Piano Teachers Association Italia, who has obtained several flattering results in national and international competitions. Davide Munaron will lead the audience in a historical musical journey that will compare the music of Central European authors with that of Apulian L. Leo and G.Paisiello.
Both performers are students of the pianist Achille Gallo in the courses of High Piano Improvement at the European Piano Open Academy.
“We are working hard to overcome this moment of great difficulty and make possible and concrete the return of the audience in concert halls. The audience needs music and the music needs the audience, as always we do our best to ensure a quality standard that meets expectations” says Maestro Giovanni Calabrese, creator and artistic director of the projects. “With these activities we want to affirm our presence on the territory, witnessing that despite so many difficulties we can still work to give new impetus and hope to civil society. Starting from music we can contribute to the revival of the local economy thanks to important local collaborations and not. I especially thank Maestro Achille Gallo, president of the Club Amici della Musica of Abano Terme, without whom it would not have been possible to bring the projects in Veneto, and the management of the Hotel AbanoRitz that will host two of the four concerts. A heartfelt thanks to the Association “W. A. Mozart” of Tricase (LE) for choosing us as a partner in a project of deep cultural value”.
In compliance with current health legislation, the concerts will be open to the public, with mandatory reservation and with presentation of a digital certificate valid following vaccination or tampon.
