On Saturday, July 8, from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm, Villa dei Vescovi hosts “Taste the Past“, an appointment to discover the taste of history from “a taste of the past” made by Cultour Active.
The protagonists of this Euganean appointment could only be marasca cherries, small sour fruits that are skillfully transformed into Maraschino liquor from Luxardo, which has been active in Torreglia since 1821. Luxardo is, in fact, the official sponsor of the event.
The format
“Taste the Past” is a journey into the “past” food experience, enjoying the gastronomic excellences of today. “Taste the Past” strikes relationships with local producers, enhancing excellence, offering quality and seasonality. The whole journey of the product is told, from ancient cultivation techniques to modern methods of conservation, preparation and consumption: the food from thousands of years ago compared to our time.
A cultural product in which archeology and art blend with flavor. Sensory and cognitive experiences amaze, giving new voice to ancient artifacts, protagonists of the past and contemporary food and wine excellence.
The program
The day is organized into a theme trail that brings together history and archeology, to rejoin the food through the final tasting.
- Guided tour of the villa;
- Reading literary texts and ancient sources;
- Themed tasting.
The cost is € 27 per person. The event will take place with a minimum of 30 people. Up to 60 participants can be present at each appointment.
