Russian Atmospheres – Concert for The Colors of Music in the World

Friday 31st of March at 21:15, Hotel AbanoRITZ hosts the third concert of the Festival of “The Colors of Music in the World“. This month’s event is dedicated to the immortal pianos of the great Russian School, which will be traced through the music of Skrjabin, Prokof’ev and Rachmaninov, performed by pianist Octavian Corneliu Arion.

The festival

Each one of the festival’s concert crosses a different country of the world, bringing the listener to traditional melodies, classical repertoire and contemporary experimentation. It wants to guide you on a journey that connects different countries, ideally a tribute to all the international guests that in recent years have allowed us to intertwine a long history of hospitality and hospitality.

The concerts are organized in collaboration with the Klyo Music Association. The concert ticket is available in advance at a cost of € 10.00. For this occasion, two promotions are active, one that allows the concert to be accompanied by a dinner at Vintage Restaurant “Il Brutto Anatroccolo” (at the price of € 38.00) and the “Concert Week” (at the price of € 150.00 Person), which includes:

  • concert;
  • overnight stay for two nights in a double room;
  • half board;
  • access to the RitzVital space (thermal pools, sauna, Turkish bath, Technogym gym, emotional showers, idrorelax space).

 

The performer

Octavian Corneliu Arion, a concert pianist from Transylvania (Romania), starts musical studies at the age of 6 at the Cluj-Napoca High School. He performs the first Recital as a protagonist for only 10 years, offering songs by Bach, Mozart, Liszt and Constantinescu. Two years later, he performed as soloist at Joseph Haydn’s Piano Orchestra and Orchestra Concert at the Transylvanian Philharmonic of Cluj-Napoca and is selected to represent Romania at the International Music Festival in Llangollen, England.

In 1985, under the guidance of Prof. Kovacs Sofia, he received his diploma in piano with the highest marks. In the same year he attended the Music University “G. Dima” where he studied piano under the guidance of Prof. Nina Panieva Sebesi and Prof. Ninuca Osanu-Pop. In 1989 she graduated with a 10th grade rating and praise. In the same year he was recruited as a piano professor at the Musical High School in Suceava and a year later moved to Cluj as a teacher in the same high school where he graduated. In 1992, he won the public competition for a university degree at the State Academy of Music “G. Dima “in Cluj-Napoca, becoming the holder of the piano chair.

His artistic activity includes over 300 concerts and concerts. He performed as soloist with the most prestigious symphonic orchestras of Romania performing concerts for piano and orchestra of: Haydn – Concerto in King Major, Beethoven – Concert No. 5 “Emperor”, Liszt – Concert No. 1 in Mi flat Major, Grieg – Concerto in the Minor, Brahms – Concerto No. 2 in Si Major Flute, Tchaikovsky – Lower Flame, Rachmaninov – Concerto No. 2 in Minor, Rapsodia on a Paganini Theme and many other pieces of the classical repertoire.

His solo repertoire ranges from preclassic to contemporary, including songs such as Scarlatti’s sonatas, Bach preludes and leavers, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven’s sonatas, all of Chopin’s compositions, sonatas, Liszt’s transient studies, Sonata no. 2, Rachmaninov’s studios and preludes, “Ravel’s Jeux d’eau, Prokofiev’s sonata, and so on.

In 1999 he performed the integral of the 1st vol. “The Eighteenth Neapolitan Music”, published by Dr. Antonio Polidoro.
