Just 12 km from the AbanoRitz, in the heart of Padua, one of the season’s most fascinating exhibitions comes to life: “M.C. Escher – All the Masterpieces” at the Altinate San Gaetano Cultural Center. From February 18 to July 19, 2026, the Center hosts a major exhibition dedicated to Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898–1972), the celebrated Dutch artist known for his impossible perspectives, optical illusions, and captivating geometries. His works take visitors on a journey between art and mathematics, where figures and spaces seamlessly transform, challenging perception and astonishing in their inventiveness and depth.
A half-day at the Escher exhibition is the ideal complement to a relaxing spa experience: a stroll among visual masterpieces in the 14th-century city of Padua, a UNESCO World Heritage site, while staying at the AbanoRitz, featuring creative rooms and classic suites, to nourish mind and body with different yet equally enriching emotions.
The Altinate San Gaetano Cultural Center is a cultural space in the heart of Padua, housed in historic buildings and designed to host exhibitions, events, debates, and other artistic initiatives. With over 12,000 square meters of space spread across multiple levels, the center is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM (the ticket office closes one hour earlier). Special openings are also planned on certain holidays and long weekends.
