Our pet is integral part of the family and that’s why it deserves a vacation with us!
The 26th of August, for the International Dog Day, we decided to spend few words for our furry friends. This day has been founded in 2004 by Colleen Paige and it dedicated to who recognizes the importance of its dogs and the impact they have in our life.
There are many ways to celebrate it: there is who decides to spend more time with its dogs, who takes them games or clothes and who spends time volunteering. And what about giving them a vacation?
The AbanoRitz is a so named “pet-friendly” hotel. But what does it mean? That animals do not pay? Not exactly: at the AbanoRitz, indeed, there is an extra of 20,00 Euro at the end of the stay for the sanitation of the room at the departure, so we can be ready for the next little guests. Does it mean that animals can access to few dedicated services? Partly: at the AbanoRitz we have rooms with big balconies and without fitted carpet which we usually recommend to whom who book with a pet (and at the first floor in order to do not oblige them to take the elevator on demand). Furthermore, there is a huge park to play, walk and run, but above all a dedicated space where you can let them free, without leash and without dangers. It is not allowed to them the entry in the restaurant zones, nor in the SPA, but the hotel staff wait for them, love them and sometimes (very often, ed) pamper them. The direction is owner of dogs in turn, so really understanding! Pet-friendly maybe means that the owners of dogs or pet in general may let them safely free? At the AbanoRitz we have the dog-sitter service, on demand, as even a tailor-made meal. Few paths away there are also a specialized shop and a grooming. For those who are here for work, we also collaborate with a certified dog shelter in which Alessia is ready to take care of your furry friends throughout one or more days. Do you want to amuse them? An amusement park for dogs just opened few kilometer from our structure: Dogland Park, the first European franchising of this kind.
So, without too many questions, be pet-friendly is just to give a warm welcoming to our furry friends making them feel like at home, as all our guests, pampering them.
In more than 50 years of hospitality, we have seen that often the problems are not created by animals, whatever their size, but by the owners. Attention, sensibility, respect and good manners are human qualities: they can just obey us and love us.
Dogs are those which are able to prove the deeper empathy for the human. The oxytocin, also called “the love hormone”, encourages the emotional ties and the interactions. The hormone of cuddles, of hugs, of physical contact and of empathy could be found as well in the special relationship that is established between dog and human being; exactly how it happens with people.
The bond between pet and master must be experienced day by day with joy. Every time you watch your dog in the eyes with affection and you caress it, its oxytocin levels rise up, and yours as well. This intensify your union… just like human beings.
Italians are more and more opened to welcome animals in their houses, in their life, in their daily life. In fact, during the last year, in Italy more than seven millions of dogs have been adopted.
