Autumn in Veneto is a season rich in traditions and festivals. It is a true celebration of local culture and gastronomic excellence, not just thermal events as we are used to promote. During this season, nature is transformed and combined with gastronomy in order to offer the best of the territory. The Euganean Hills come alive with events dedicated to typical products, such as jujubes, wine, olive oil, and chestnuts.
The Festival of Jujubes in Arquà Petrarca
One of the events not to be missed is the Festival of Jujubes, held in Arquà Petrarca on the 6th and the 13th of October. This medieval village is one of the most beautiful in Italy and between late September and early October it is transformed to celebrate these small ancient fruits typical of the Euganean Hills. During the festival, it is possible to taste jujube-based culinary specialties, to try typical products including cosmetics and to participate in local cultural activities.
In addition to jujubes, wine and olive oil
In addition to the Jujube Festival, between October and November, the Novello Wine Festival and the Novello Oil Festival are not to be missed. These events offer the opportunity to taste fresh seasonal products, immersing in the wine and oil tradition of the Euganean Hills. Local wine cellars open their doors to welcome visitors and let them discover the km 0 flavors of our territory.
