Starting from march, the AbanoRITZ Hotel will become permanent headquarter of Back School, the method perfectioned by professor Benedetto Toso for vertrebal pains and their rehabilitation at all ages. After the success of the specialists’ course, professor Toso decided to open his classes to everyone, hotel guests and whoever wants to learn the techniques to prevent and treat back pains.
Back School means “a school for the back”: it is the most efficient and long-lasting treatment for backache, low back pain, lumbar radicular pain, neck pain, cervicobrachial pain and spine diseases (disc disease, herniated disc, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, hyper-kyphosis, arthrosis and osteoporosis). In a certain way, the Back School is revolutionary, because it makes the aching subject not a mere executor of prescribed medical treatments, but an active protagonist of the care. Being the most involved one, he becomes also more responsible.
Prof. Benedetto Toso is a Posturology professor at the Motor Science Faculty of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore-Milan and Back School Association founder.
Backache, cervical pains, osteoporosis
The term “Back School” refers generically to the whole back area, which means the back torso region, from shoulders to hips; so, it deals with pains of the lumbar and dorsal spinal region. When it is specialized in the prevention and treatment of cervical pains, it becomes Neck School. There is also a third type of Back School, called Bone School, aimed to prevent and treat osteoporosis.
When severe pain occurs, the Back School can quickly rebalance the spinal structures and decrease the pain. When it comes to chronical pain, the Back School can operate on the causes that make the pain so persistent.
The course
Back School classes could be attended in two ways:
- group class: lasts a weekend, it will be held two times a month;
- intensive single class: lasts 3 hours, on request.
Partecipants could try the pain-relief excercises, specific equipments and pain-relief tecniques and relaxation tecniques. The six principles of the Back School will be explained, to effectively treat back- and neckache. At the end, each partecipant will receive informative materials, in order to keep doing the excercises at home and make them part of their daily routine
The group class costs 180,00€, while the individual class costs 230,00€. To meet the needs of our international guests, some courses will be held in english. The one who follows the weekend course could benefit from a special offer at 198,00€ per person that includes a 2-nights stay in half board, with RITZLife and RITZVital space to enjoy.

- 10/11/12 March – Italian class;
- 7/8/9 April -Italian class;
- 5/6/7 May – English class;
- 19/20/21 June – Italian class;
- 9/10/11 June – English class;
- 23/24/25 June – Italian class.
