The FAI Spring Days (Giornate FAI di Primavera) are an annual event organized by the Italian National Trust (Fondo Ambiente Italiano – FAI), offering the public the opportunity to discover and appreciate Italy’s cultural and landscape heritage through the extraordinary opening of numerous sites that are usually inaccessible.
The 33rd edition will take place on March 22 and 23, 2025, featuring over 750 special locations from north to south of the country, many of which are unusual or underappreciated. This grand celebration of art, culture, and nature will be even more special this year as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of FAI’s foundation.
In the province of Padua, particularly in the Euganean Hills, which provide a scenic backdrop to the AbanoRitz, the FAI manages Villa dei Vescovi, a pre-Palladian Venetian villa located in Luvigliano di Torreglia.
Built in the 16th century as a summer residence for the Bishop of Padua, the villa is a remarkable example of Renaissance architecture and offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
Another site of interest in the Euganean Hills is the Euganean Hills Regional Natural Park, which spans 15 municipalities in the province of Padua. The park features a network of trails accessible by foot or bicycle, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in nature and explore the area’s rich biodiversity.
Organized by FAI in 400 cities, thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of thousands of volunteers across all regions, the FAI Spring Days have become a highly anticipated event, cherished by Italians and beyond. This widespread appreciation reflects the importance of FAI’s educational mission, which, since 1975, has been committed to showcasing and enhancing Italy’s hidden wonders and treasures, fostering awareness, care, and preservation among the public.
