From August 31st to September 2nd, the AbanoRITZ hotel is happy to host the ninth edition of the International Piano Competition “Fausto Zadra”. The competition was founded by M ° Achille Gallo, which also cares for the artistic direction, and promoted by the Friends of Music Club of Abano Terme, from the Rotary Club, section of Abano and Montegrotto Terme.

The performances will take place in the charming Mirror’s Room, on the first floor of our hotel, during three days. On Thursday, August 31 and Friday, September 1, the eliminatory round will take place, in which participants will have to perform pieces freely chosen from their repertoire, for a total of 15 or 20 minutes.

A jury of experts, chaired by M ° Achille Gallo, will evaluate the performances and choose the finalists. The musicians who will pass this selection will perform again on Saturday, September 2, again with a free program and for about 30-35 minutes. On the occasion of the gala evening, the winners will also be declared.

The contest

The competition is open to all Italian and international pianists, born 1 January 1982 onwards. You can subscribe until August 20 by sending the full application and all the required documents to the email address zadracompetition@libero.it. The registration fee is 100 €.

The top three musicians will be awarded. The first prize consists of 3,000 € and the opportunity to record their album with the XClassics record company, which guarantees an international distribution. The second classified will receive a cash prize of € 1,000 and the third, € 500.
