Once isolated, this tiny organism demonstrated an extraordinary ability to produce <strong>chlorophyll F<\/strong>. This newly identified organism has been named <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/microbiology\/articles\/10.3389\/fmicb.2025.1545008\/full\"><em data-start=\"662\" data-end=\"681\">Kovacikia euganea<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<br \/>\nChlorophyll F (C\u2085\u2085H\u2087\u2080O\u2086N\u2084Mg), discovered in 2010, has a peak absorbance around 706 nm, in the near-infrared spectrum, making it the chlorophyll with the longest known absorption wavelength.
