This historic castle, set in a breathtaking landscape (as are all Euganean landscapes, <em>ed.<\/em>), is <strong>one of the most fascinating attractions in this zone<\/strong> and this year it offers unique experiences for the summer. Not to be missed.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">A castle between history and mystery<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Catajo Castle was built in the <strong>16<sup>th<\/sup> century<\/strong> in full Renaissance style by the Obizzi family, who further expanded it in the following century. In the 18<sup>th<\/sup> century it was transformed into a <strong>ducal palace<\/strong> by the Habsburg-Este family of Modena and then it became the <strong>holiday residence<\/strong> of the Habsburgs, emperors of Austria. After the First World War, the Catajo returned to the Italian ownership as reparation for the war damages, but it was auctioned off following the 1929 crisis. The castle is still <strong>privately owned<\/strong> today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The castle has hosted several epoch-making events and prominent personalities such as the king Charles III, the emperor Napoleon, the musician Franz Liszt, the poet Torquato Tasso and many others.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Summer at the Catajo Castle<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This <strong>summer<\/strong>, the Catajo Castle comes alive with a series of events that will allow visitors to visit and experience the castle as never before, discovering its history through <strong>extraordinary openings<\/strong> and our territory through <strong>tastings<\/strong> and <strong>themed evenings<\/strong>.
