Project “InnestaStorie”: Wine and words at Vinitaly

The young wine producers of the Consorzio Vini Doc Colli Euganei, Consorzio Bagnoli Doc, Breganze and Coste del Feltrino have been protagonists at Vinitaly on Sunday, April 9th, with a new project that combines wine with words, trying to tell the story of the generational replacement in agriculture.

Thanks to the co-ordination of young entrepreneur Claudia Adami, young wine producers have chosen some authors to work with, letting them tell the story of their own business. From this idea is born “InnestaStorie“, a title symbolically referring to the rebirth and the new life, both physically and metaphorically..

“This project transversely describes the tradition of our territory,” explains Claudia Adami, “we wanted to offer a new point of view that would enhance the typical wines and emphasize the importance of youth engagement in agriculture”

Each producer chose an author to entrust his own story, in order to reinterpret it in their own way by choosing writers from different cultural spheres. The rediscovery of tradition and generational replacement have come to life in the writings of Professor Antonio Baldo, authors Francesco Sturaro and Federica Gaspari and blogger Cristina Rampado.

“We wanted to make it clear to the reader that the tales don’t provide just with mere information, but reinterpret an ancient knowledge without forgetting the bond with the past, hence the image of the graft,” adds the wine expert Marcello Gottardi.

The Consorzio dei Colli Euganei has even reached social media, launching on Facebook a contest entitled “Fior d’Arancio in search of the author”, to find on the web the starting point for a new narrative of the territory of the Colli. “The intention – says President Emanuele Calaon – is to find a different gaze that looks and tells the Euganean Hills and their soul from the outside.”
