Un Fiume di Note at AbanoRitz
One day after our reopening, after a brief pause starting June 30th, Sunday July 28th at 9 pm the Davison Worthing Youth Concert Band – Great Britain, will entertain us in the frame of our pool with a concert of 45 elements! Following our staff will be happy to serve Watermelon & Bubbles for free to all our guests!
DWYCB has been in existence for over 40 years and is open to all school age musicians in the Worthing area. Their principal conductor, Karen Kennard, was once a young member, joining the band at age 9. 30 years later and she has never left!
As the band is a registered charity, the conductors give their time for free; resulting in all funds raised being put towards band trips, music and instruments. They are supported by an active parent committee. The band has close links with many local charities and regularly performs to raise funds for them, including the RNLI, Race for Life and the Salvation Army. The band also puts on a showcase concert every other year. In recent years they have done ‘The Names’ Bond’ and ‘A Night on Broadway’. In the last few years the band has enjoyed many successful tours with performances in Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, Holland, Italy and France, including Disneyland Paris!
We look forward to sharing this beautiful initiative with you and toasting together with the reopening!
